2024 END OF THE YEAR REPORT
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The board of directors and team of Pillar Girl Foundation for Girlchild Development wish to express their deepest gratitude for a successful and impactful 2024.
We are grateful to all our matrons and patrons who stood by us as we strive to impact our community and generation.
We also sincerely appreciate our friends and partners who in many ways made our dream of impact a reality and our team of volunteers on the field ever ready to run with the vision of touching the lives of the girl child, one girl at a time, thank you for making IMPACT POSSIBLE IN THE YEAR 2024.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The year 2024, marked The Pillar Girl Foundation for Girlchild development seven years of existence and service.
In this remarkable year tagged “Perfect Impact”, The Pillar Girl Foundation team strived to touch the lives of over 500 teenage girls and younger ladies in both rural centers and small towns by including innovative projects and programs geared at equipping these teenage girls in the grassroots.
We developed efficient systems and structures for our projects and this enabled us to ensure a sustainable impact on these teenagers.
We also strengthened our feedback and consolidation system enabling us to monitor the progress of each teenage girl within the time.
We incorporated projects such as market outreaches, emotional wholeness outreaches, and street outreaches which yielded great results on the field.
A new center was planted in Benin Republic led by Miss Rock Christiana who with her team successfully executed 2 major projects in their community and virtually.
Our annual November skill acquisition project was successfully run in 2 locations at the same time thanks to our team and volunteers in these centers who worked tirelessly to ensure that no one was left behind.
We also achieved our annual Christmas clothes project in two communities Aba and Owerri leaving smiles on the faces of many teenage girls over the Christmas holiday.
The year 2024, has indeed been a year of perfect Impact irrespective of financial constraints and the hurdles we experienced as a nation, we beat our chest knowing that we touch lives regardless and we are optimistic that the year 2025 will be a better year of Impact and results.
VISION, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
The Pillar Girl Foundation for Girl Child Development is a nonprofit and non-governmental organization passionate about equipping the Girl child mentally, physically, emotionally, morally, and skillfully through rural outreaches, street outreaches, market outreaches, free skill acquisition projects, Christmas clothes giveaways and more.
Hence our mission; equipping the girl child, one girl at a time. The following objectives guide us as we execute this mission;
1) To provide basic sanitary and relief materials, especially for the girl child in rural areas
2) To enlighten and educate the girl child
3) To bring hope, healing, and advocacy for the girl child especially those who have been victims of trauma and abuse.
4) To equip the girl child with the hands-on skills necessary to earn a living for herself.
5) To provide coaching, mentorship, and counseling for the girl child hence shaping their future.
